Well I can honestly say it was a good week.. kept on track but I did NOT go to the gym.. umm it was about the weather!
We got an unexpected HUGE dump of snow which you can see in the pics was pretty in the AM .. but by nighttime there was a FOOT of it..The last pic is over at my parents a couple days ago.. So Pretty there on the the riverfront!
The thing is-we don't get snow like that here on the "Wet Coast." So it made for interesting workouts of shoveling & then goin for a 5k hike to my FIL house to shovel for him too since he was away & returning the next day!
the hike was fun ..just Jamie & I in the middle of the snow storm! LOL~
Then it has been COLD every since - yea below freezing -which again here is REALLY unusual - mostly here it turns to rain pretty quick & turns it all to mush.. NOT this time...So we still have snow -lots of it !! & Ummm right now it's snowing again! AKK..
So instead of taking my life in my hands driving around folks who do NOT know how to drive on Ice or snow & freezing by butt off going to the gym- I've been doing very entertaining workout "tapes" at home.. yep I did say TAPES .
I dug out the old FIRM fullbody work outs with weights & have been doing those.. It's good having someone to "boss" me around..& as I told Cheri.. seeing those Bodysuits & leotards makes it allllll worth it! ~lol~
Other than that I've been hiking back & forth to go sledding every day & waiting for Karrena to have her babby! --& he's finally here! Congrats to K!
Hope you all are safe in whatever Bizzare weather Mother Nature has sent you!

I'm cold just looking at it!!!
Brrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
Unusual, but so Beautiful! And not an excuse to abandon exercise. That's beautiful, too.
People in Canada have swimming pools? I seriously thought it snowed everywhere in Canada, all winter long. Shows how much I know.
We got snow here in New Orleans on Christmas Day two years ago...talk about unusual. It was just a little bitty bit...enough to be fun, but not so much that driving was crazy.
It's beautiful where you live! We've been having unusual weather here lately. It's actually colder right now in California than here in the northeast. However, that is all going to end tonight when dip into the teens.
Shoveling and snow hiking are great workouts! Way to go!
Hooray -- another FIRM believer! I did those workouts when leg warmers were cool (no sarcasm at all) and the workouts are still good today! Do you have Volume 2, where Janet Jones (now Gretzsky) says "lattisimus dorsi" as though it's a sex offering? (Ok, have I done the tapes too many times if I remember that?)
Keep up the great work!
So this is where all my snow went...nothing but raincoats and galoshes weather here in the Carolinas. 20 degrees in the morning and 75 degrees by the afternoon. No wonder I keep getting sick...it's malaria.
Beautiful pictures. It's coming our way, I just know it. I don't want it. We've had a little snow, not much, and that's just how I LIKE IT!
Thanks on the update on Karenna. He's beautiful isn't he?
It is beautiful but I just hate the cold. We are having our share of cold weather here too.
Remember eating clean is the most important thing so if you have one week down with or without the gym I would say that is a big success.
For the record, I still have several vhs tapes myself.
It's gorgeous but so friggin' cold! And I was griping about 24 degrees F.
Think warm thoughts! :)
Ya, it was wierd here too. We had the coldest night we'd had in 17 years or something like that. Of course me, the idiot didn't realize it was coming and didn't cover any plants so now all my beautiful hibiscus are brown and frozen, and all my trees are a very interesting shade of coppery brown. Then today it rained alll day and was cold. I love the winters here, they are really gorgeous!
Yay you for getting the workouts done anyway, Wooo hooo!
From what I've been hearing on the news, you guys have been getting a doozy of a Winter out there. We, on the other hand, here in Ontario, had green grass up until early this week when it finally snowed!
I agree that shoveling is definitely a great workout! When you mention workout tapes, it makes me think of the 20-minute workout which I taped religiously in high school and did everyday! Used the tapes so much that they eventually wore out!
That's great that you still found a way to be active. When it's snowy I just want to stay home and bake - wish I knew what that was all about.
Gorgeous photos. You are doing AWESOME-keep it up. I love the way you improvised by shoveling snow and using the videos. Hope you are staying warm. :)
I love the snow! Its sooooo pretty! Wish I was there!
xo~
Wow - gorgeous pictures! I love looking at it...
