So all last week I'm blithering about all the snow.. & what do I do as soon as it starts to warm up enough to melt a bit...Go find some MORE!
Well actually I had been planning for some time to take Jamie away somewhere for his 40th Birthday .. & what we ended up doing is pulling the kids from school Fri & heading up Thurs night inland about 4-5hrs to a place called Sun Peaks Resort for a weekend of something that Jamie LOVES -- skiing!
It was a wonderful time! & yea Stef.. we were thinking of you .. we even tried to call you from up there ( The Birthday Boy wanted to torment you & Russ about the new powder we were skiing in~lol~ ) but couldn't get thru :(
Anywho .. it was great all around! we stayed just down at the bottom of the mountain at a friends cabin that I've talked about before...very rustic .. ( read outdoor plumbing & getting up every few hours to stoke the wood stove to stay warm) but if that is the only cost..hey we're in!
We had snow on Fri & SUNSHINE all Saturday - it wasn't supposed to but Jamie figured I "ordered" it special for him since that was the Birthday day!
We put the kids in lessons for the first 2 days & by Sun AM Stevie was off with Jamie & a friend of his that we met up with doing a BLACK DIAMOND run!!!
Good grief ...Do 8 yr old boys have No fear or what??
Now today again its like after any trip ... me at home with about a thousand loads of laundry .. how do those of you with LOTS of kids do this??? ( Janel, Eileen...anyone??) akkkkkk! I can only imagine!!
The good thing is that my legs are just Smoked!!
As you can see in the pic taken inside after skiing-- you end up tired.. but it's such a Good tired!! Whooooo Hoooo .. :)
Three days of hard work for the Body... was GOOOD ..Now if only the food was ummm a bit "cleaner" I'd be way ahead of the game..
Yea well..holidays tend to be like that don't they?? .. So back at things today!

Brrrrrrr! Glad that you guys had a good time. I love the photos. Happy Birthday to Jamie!
Beautiful pictures -- you look like a ballerina, with your big eyes and flowing hair. So happy you had fun!
What great pics! I am jealous. I love to snow ski but keep taking those vacations where the sun shines and there are beaches. I am going to have to go again soon. I know it is a great workout and what you mean by a "good tired". I bet you burned a bunch of calories so I would not beat myself up too bad especially since you are right back at it today.
Fun, fun, fun. I wish I could control the weather like you can. I'm so cold here, we keep talking about moving someplace warmer.
Welcome back to eating clean!
Sounds like a good time was had by all! Awesome.
I want to visit you!!! All your pictures are always SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!
What beautiful pics, and I'm so sick of snow here, so that's saying something. Sounds like a great weekend - way to relax, yet smoke those legs!
OK time for some sun..say Mexico in June?
Hey Gorgeous!
Boy, you are fast posting on my blog like that! Sounds like you had a great time! I'm jealous though. We finally have snow in town and on the mountain. The local ski area was supposed to open over the weekend, but a big gust of wind came and blew all the snow off the mountain... bummer. Glad you had such a great time.
Glad you guys had a good time. Beautiful pictures and beautiful family! Happy birthday to Jamie!
You have a beautiful family. And I'm glad you're all having a great time. I wish I could ski, but I have a phobia now since I sprained both my ankles cross country skiing in 8th grade. :( It looks like a fun sport and a great workout!
BEAUTIFUL pictures. You are very photogenic. Looks like a great time.

Holy Moley! A black diamond run after beginning lessons? The kid is fearless, that's for sure. Gorgeous pictures of your family, as always. Glad Jamie had a wonderful birthday. Happy birthday to Jamie!
Great pics....we get snow once every 20 years or so. It looks fun. (Yeah, right, huh?)
On the laundry thing...it's a BIG project EVERY day. And my 1 year old dryer keeps breaking. I wonder why?!
Yeah, I wanna come visit you too!!!I think I'm freezing at 35F, I'd be a popsicle in your neck of the woods! I do like to ski though, at least what I remember of it.
Ummm, on the laundry, well, I ALWAYS have laundry to do. ALWAYS. If it gets very very piled up, like if I get depressed :) or sick or if we go out of town (although I rarely go anyplace I can't do laundry and bring it home clean)I just break down and take it all to the laundromat. I can do 15 or more loads in an hour and a half, and it only costs me about 20 bucks (mabye less). Bing bang boom done. Well, you probably got it all sbout done by now, since I'm so slow in posting. Are your legs back to normal yet??
maaaannnnnn I hate snow, but you guys look like you had fun! btw, I finally rejoined the land of the bloggers. you can find me at: http://carolakabb.blogspot.com/

Happy belated Birthday to Jamie!

You should so add reading to your goals - it's mental health as far as I'm concerned which for us mom's is just as important as physical health!
