Well in a warped sorta way I think I've brought this all on myself... Remember I was bemoaning the fact that Jamie was losing weight because He was sick with the flu??
Yea well that was a BAD idea! Monday was the Stat holiday for us up here & I was set to work it... Woke up feelin kinda iffy but thought it was just that I hadn't eaten since early the eve before... Well by Mid morn that was NOT the case! OH man I have never been that sick in all my life!! I'll spare you the details cause I know not everyone in like those of us in the medical profession & finds THAT sort of thing "interesting" ... or even mildly "funny" . Well at least in a very pathetic way looking back objectively after the fact! - I put off calling in sick until the last possible time..Since it WAS a Stat &that is GOOD $$ you know! ~lol.... Yea nice very quick phone call from the bathroom floor!! GOOD grief how ridiculous is that ?? Like I said...Funny AFTER the fact!
Any who so needless to say yesterday was pretty much a write off as well - spent eating gravol & working my way back up from water to Gatoraid to toast.. whoo hoo!
Today I actually felt pretty ok... So I hit the gym ..& haven't spent the whole day trying to "hold down" the couch! I actually got the house in some sort of order & a bit of laundry done- but I have yet to catch up on you all so I hope you're all well... Hopefully tomorrow ...
Gotta say- I'm glad we keep telling each other this fitness thing is FOR LIFE - cause at the rate things in my world keep getting off track-- It's gonna take me that long to ever get a solid 12 weeks in a row done again! ~LOL..
OH well ... I'm wandering along doing my new program "twist" & we'll see where I am come the end of June regardless..
But umm hey- I did lose wt this week... Just NOT a fun or recommended way to do it!

My first thought was not a flu; thought food poisoning - ????? It always seems to me that when an adult is that violently ill its food poisoning whereas kids are different.
Except that virus that was going around a couple of years ago - Pam help me out here, was it Norwalk? Don't know if it made it to the states but here there was alot of people with it & I know it was across Ontario but not sure of elsewhere.
The last time a stomach flu knocked me on my ass that bad was when I was a kid. Now food poisoning was a different story all together - HOLY HELL, have I got some graphic stories about THAT!!!!
Anyway Pam, flu or did you consider something you both ate?

This sounds like the food poisoning I got in Thailand ... it hit swiftly, and then 36 hours later was gone.
I wish that I could say that yep it was food poisoning... then I wouldn't be so worried..
It's just after 8:30 AM here & I spent all night up & down the stairs with my poor baby bunny Jessica & then Jamie again! ( The bout last week wasn't like this it was all fevers & such)
I feel sooo helpless right now I can't even get her to hold down the Gravol..& she's just horrified that she can't figure out which end is which..:(
Yes Trace..it was Norwalk that was going around ..& apparently has been locally.. just last week I knew of someone who had to take their 1 & 3 yr old into emergency...
I'll see how my day goes.. but I'm just praying that Steven doesn't get this too
I've let his teacher know to call me if he feels even the slightest bit off..
Gotta go for now.. I gotta lie down..I still haven't slept.
So sorry to hear that it was so violent. Yucky. No wonder the cookies didn't matter! I've actually tried to eat stuff like that when I'm going to be sick with the hope that after it comes back up I won't want to eat it again :) Is that bad?
Glad you're better, but so sorry to hear your baby girl's got it and now Jamie again! Yikes. Definitely some weird virus/flu things going around. A girl at my office lost 15 pounds in one weekend (granted she has quite a few to lose) from something that sounds very similar to what you're going through. It started out with her mom's neighbor, then her mom and dad, then her baby (who is watched during the day by her mom and dad) and eventually her and her husband got it. Our systems administrator was sick earlier this week... I'm the biggest baby when it comes to this kind of bug.
