So YES it was our Thanksgiving last weekend for all of my U.S. friends..Ours is MUCH earlier than yours...But now that means that we can put away the Turkey stuff till Christmas & get on to the FUN things
HALLOWEEN!!
OH yea & WHOOOOO HOOO.. Halloween has probably got to be my all time FAVE holiday It's just the Best Doncha think??
I mean just think...You get to decorate, have fun, see your neighbours & have treats if you so wish..Without all the huge emotional baggage & issues that can come along with Christmas!
& best of all --for me any ways it's a reason to play Dress-up! Both with the kids & myself Tee hee!
Steven wants to be a "dead cowboy" - why "Dead"- I dunno I guess it's an 8 yr old boy thing! ~lol~
& Jess wants to be Medussa this yr..Which has been an adventure & a half creating a costume..
Did I mention that I never just go out & buy a costume?? -- It's part whatever might be in our "dress - up box" part what I can find at the Thrift stores & then my Aunt who is very talented at sewing, helping me come up with the rest.. You should see the Catwoman from last yr & the Mermaid from the yr before!! They are "original creations" & really quite amazing ...Oh if I could only fit into them!! :P
I'm doubly excited this yr because I'm off the weekend before & friends of ours are hosting a party..So I get to dress-up twice! YAY! :D
~Lol~ Yea I know I'm a big Kid! I don't care..
What about you guys?? As the kids are all askin around school.."What are YOU & yours goin as??"

I'm not sure what we're doing for halloween this year. I'm usually the designated costume maker, and by the time we get invited anywhere I'm scrounging for stuff to wear... No big party plans yet buat it's still early. I like the idea of Medussa. I have thought to do that one myself... got some rubber snakes??? LOL Have fun... BTW, I love Evanescence!
Our kids can't make up their minds! Enjoy it!
Megan is going to be an adorable little cow, I need to post some pics. I think I've decided that my husband is going to be his father, Hawiaan shirt, shorts, black socks and sandals. So I'm thinking about being my mother (housecoat, curlers, lots of padding, sort of thing) but that's almost too scary for me.

My mom dropped of 3 huge boxes of all out old halloween stuff, it was so fun!! SO far we have Sadie being a Diva, Cade I'm not sure, Cooper I'm not sure, Wyatt is Superman, and Dayton as Dash from the Incredibles. I will most likely be a cat, and Mark will wear whatever, mabye just a mask. I'm trying to get Cade to go as an Ipod, but he thinks its lame. I LOVE dressing up the kids, but I don't have the time to make stuff. I make 1 trip to party City, 100 buck later (or less) and its done. Then they wear the costumes out all year. Its halloween every day around here!! LOL
My daughter is going to be a cheerleader. We got the costume at Target and it actually looks good on her. It shows a little midriff, so I'm not sure about sending her to school in it.
My son is wearing the same spooky mask for the 3 year in a row.
I hate to dress up, but I don't mind letting my kids be whatever they want.
My best costume was a bag of jellybeans: stepping into a clear trash bag and filling it with coloured ballons. Great fun. I think I even won a prize.
Take care,
Pers
Hey there! Belated Happy Thanksgiving.
In a couple days, I'll post a pic of The Landlord' Halloween costume. He's gonna love it!
Natasha is going as Blue the puppy and im going as Steve. She loves that puppy and I wanted to make her smoething she like even though she isn't old enough to pick.
My favorite time of the year too! I think that the best costumes are the ones that you make on your own. I just wish I was one of those crafty talented type people.
I always think it's funny when your web address comes up - Lalas Shaven.
LOVE Halloween! Only problem is that I eat WAY too much chocolate & candy. I get excited to go with my neices & nephews (and now Aiden) mainly b/c I'll get to dig through their bags of candy, hee hee!
This year Aiden is going as a lion, yep, store-bought. I'm not that creative. It was from The Children's Place. ;)
Halloween is my favorite too, it costs the least.
Lori
LOL at Steven cuz I always think the same thing!
No Halloween festivities down here. I live in a community where there are no kids. None. Nada. Zilch. And we aren't allowed to dress up at work which is good because I have no idea what I'd be anyway.
I liked your pirate wench costume!
